UNIVERSITY OF OREGON COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
CURRICULUM ANALYSIS

Growing demand for University of Oregon's top ranked College of Education programs has caused course offerings to expand to serve a wider variety of students. Concurrently, state budget cuts for higher education in Oregon have limited available funds for hiring additional faculty and staff and purchasing necessary resources.

The College of Education is undergoing an analysis of its curriculum to develop a more sustainable framework. The analysis is designed to produce solution frameworks that suggest implementation strategies leading to new, innovative and more efficient methods of instruction for the delivery of an aligned, consolidated curriculum. The project focuses on creating a more direct connection between desired learner outcomes at the college level and the curriculum designed to achieve those outcomes while consolidating and more efficiently delivering a full range of coursework.
